Element Optics scopes go through one of the most rigorous tests in the industry on .50 BMG rifles and over 15,000J before they are deemed worthy of the Element Optics name. Riflescopes go beyond the standard when it comes to aspects such as water resistance, shock resistance, return to zero tests, and recoil simulation.
Construction
The riflescopes are made on precise CNC machines. The reinforced 34mm tube is made of one piece, and the best quality aircraft aluminum material guarantees resistance to recoil, corrosion, mechanical damage, and scratches.
The first thing you notice is the compactness of the scope. The length of the scope is 377 mm and the weight is 1035 grams, which means that it does not significantly increase the weight of the PCP carbine or the firearm on which it is mounted, so long walks and hunting will not be a burden.
Innovative open turrets for adjustment work smoothly. They have a metric of one click of the drum of 0.1 MRAD, and one turn in the tower from the elevation gives us 12 MRAD. Thanks to this, we will be able to zero our riflescope without any problems, even in difficult conditions. They are equipped with durable internal elements made of stainless steel, allowing us to constantly adjust them because they are often used in most shooting disciplines and difficult weather conditions.
The turret adjustment is as much as 29 MRAD (up, down) and 11.6 MRAD (right, left).
Manufacturing the turrets with low tolerances means that the system will not move at all and there will be no so-called relaxations from the settings (deviations). Even when it seems that the knob (turret) is moving slightly, there is no possibility for the system to overlap and change its position, it is very precisely made.
The scope uses a quick zeroing system without tools, so only a special screw-in counter ring is used. which allows you to quickly return to the initial settings. For shooters, this means that they can make various types of corrections in all planes and allows them to easily return to the zero point at any time.
Lenses
Element Optics has equipped its riflescopes with amazing quality lenses.
The THEOS series is equipped with Japanese ED multi-coated lenses, which means that each lens element in the riflescope has five anti-reflective coatings, the objective lens and the eyepiece lens have an anti-fouling coating, so no dirt or oil sticks, which makes cleaning easier, and ensures excellent picture.
Brightness, sharpness, and image resolution are a priority for designers when it comes to building a professional riflescope.
This bezel is made in Japan by one of the companies whose products are known all over the world as "Japanese Switzerland", which is compared to precise Swiss watches.
The glass used in Theo's riflescope is crystal clear even at extreme heights and at high magnifications, which is not the case with riflescopes from other companies.
Precise sealing and filling the optics with nitrogen eliminates the problem of internal lens fogging, making the riflescope resistant to rain, snow, and water immersion.
Meshes
THEOS has foreground meshes (FFP First Focus Plane), which causes the mesh to expand as you zoom in, so you don't have to do any mesh calculations. The mesh is calibrated at all types of approximations. The magnification range from 6x to 36x means that this riflescope will find many applications depending on the user's preferences.
This riflescope has an illuminated reticle that is turned on by a button, not a knob like in other riflescopes, so we can easily return to the desired setting or turn off the backlight. The illumination mode allows us to see the reticle in difficult conditions, so we can shoot with even greater precision.
Metricity in MRAD
THEOS 6-24X56 APR-2D FFP MRAD has the metric system adjustment expressed in MRAD. Thanks to such a system, conversion and corrections become much simpler and less complicated than adjustments in MOA. The 0.1 MRAD drum click moves the reticle by 1 cm per 100 m. Due to the ease of use of the MRAD unit, it is preferred by most long-shot shooters, it is a standard in military optics, and is much more often used by people from Europe.
