Challenger Pro LB GEN 3 is a new product that has gained significant popularity in the American market. Its incredible accuracy, energy, compactness, and good price make it ideal for anyone who wants to shoot long distances or start their shooting journey.
The Challenger Pro Gen 3 is equipped with an externally adjustable pressure regulator that can be set using an Allen key, along with an external hammer spring tension adjustment mechanism, allowing for even more personalized adaptation of the air rifle to the shooter's needs.
Construction
AEA air rifles are renowned for their high-quality craftsmanship. Individual parts are made on CNC machines, and all components are very well-fitted. The air rifle is very compact and lightweight. Its overall length is just 106.6 cm, and when the stock is folded, it's less than 81 cm, making it easy to store the air rifle in a backpack. The air rifle weighs around 3.9 kg, allowing for easy shooting from a free hand or supported position. The telescopic stock folds to the side and is made of aluminum. It can be extended and retracted, and the cheek rest can be raised and lowered, enabling perfect adjustment to your height for the most comfortable shooting experience.
Rail
The Challenger Pro air rifle is equipped with a 22mm Weaver standard rail, allowing the installation of a scope or red dot sight for quick and accurate shots. Additionally, the extended lower accessory rail enables the mounting of a bipod, tripod, or other elements that enhance shooting versatility and comfort.
Air Cylinder and Regulator
The rifle is equipped with a large 350cc air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of 310 bar, and two manometers. It also features a factory-installed externally adjustable regulator with a 170cc Power Plenum, ensuring consistent shot velocity.
The two manometers installed in the air cylinder show the pressure in the cylinder and on the regulator.
- The first manometer, located underneath the air cylinder, indicates the pressure in the cylinder (maximum pressure 310 bar).
- The second manometer, next to the air cylinder near the filling port, shows the regulator pressure, adjustable from 80 to 170 bar. Increasing the regulator pressure raises the muzzle velocity and energy of the air rifle.
The externally adjustable pressure regulator allows you to change the pressure without disassembling the rifle or releasing the air from the cylinder.
The Allen screw located under the air cylinder, with a manometer above it, allows you to adjust the pressure on the regulator.
- To increase the pressure on the regulator, slowly turn the screw from left to right; you will see the pressure on the regulator manometer increase and hear a faint hissing sound.
- To decrease the pressure on the regulator, slowly turn the screw from right to left. Keep in mind that the manometer reading may not change immediately! After lowering the pressure, fire a few "dry" shots (without pellets) to let the regulator settle, and the internal O-rings adjust. After a few shots, you will see the lowered value on the manometer. If it is still insufficient, repeat the process.
It is crucial to make these adjustments slowly, without turning the screw too aggressively.
Number of Shots per Air Cylinder
- 7.62mm (.30): 35 shots
- 9mm (.35): 25 shots
Muzzle Velocity Adjustment
The Challenger Pro is equipped with a muzzle velocity adjustment system. The adjustment wheel is located next to the magazine, and it can be easily replaced with another one with a larger or smaller transfer port diameter, or the velocity parameters can be changed by turning the wheel.
Hammer Spring Adjustment
The Challenger Pro Gen 3 has been modified to include external hammer spring tension adjustment. The adjustment is located at the base of the stock, providing easy access and adjustment using a screw. The directions for increasing and decreasing tension are marked with a "Plus" and "Minus," respectively. Additionally, an external adjustment indicator is machined into the receiver to provide easy control over the spring tension without the need for internal adjustments.
Barrel
The barrel is 29.5 inches (74.93 cm) long with a twist rate of:
- 1:16 for 7.62mm caliber
This makes the AEA rifles excellent for shooting slug-type bullets. The barrel is threaded at the muzzle, allowing the attachment of an additional suppressor or an adapter from Donny FL, enabling the use of 1/2 UNF suppressors.
Magazine
The magazines are very carefully crafted to avoid damaging pellets or slug-type bullets during indexing. The magazine capacity varies depending on the caliber:
- 7.62mm: 9 slots
- 9mm: 8 slots
Included:
- AEA Challenger Pro LB
- Two magazines
- Filling adapter
