AEA Challenger Pro LB HPF (High-Power-Flow) GEN 3 PCP Air Rifle with a larger 500cc cartridge
The Challenger Pro LB HPF GEN 3 is a new model distinguished by a larger cartridge (capacity: 500cc) and a stronger trigger spring. Its incredible accuracy, high energy, compact size, and attractive price make it ideal for anyone looking to shoot at long ranges or just starting out.
The Challenger Pro LB HPF Gen 3 is equipped with a pressure regulator that can be adjusted externally using an Allen key , as well as an external adjustment mechanism for the spring tension of the hammer, which will further allow for individual adaptation of the air rifle to the shooter's needs.
Execution
AEA air rifles are renowned for their high-quality craftsmanship. Individual parts are CNC machined , and all parts fit together perfectly. The air rifle is very compact and lightweight. Its total length is 106.6 cm, and with the stock folded, it's just under 81 cm. The air rifle weighs approximately 3.9 kg, allowing for easy freehand or rest shooting. The telescopic stock folds to the side and is made of aluminum. It can be extended and retracted , and the cheekpiece can be raised and lowered, allowing for a perfect fit to your height for maximum comfort.
Cartridge and Regulator
The rifle is equipped with a large 500cc cylinder with a maximum working pressure of 310 Bar and two pressure gauges. It also features a factory-installed, externally adjustable regulator with a POWER PLENUM (170cc), ensuring consistent shots and stable muzzle velocity.
The system includes two pressure gauges indicating cylinder pressure and regulator pressure.
The first pressure gauge, located underneath the cylinder, shows the cylinder pressure (maximum 310 Bar).
The second pressure gauge, located next to the fill port, measures regulator pressure adjustable from 80 to 170 Bar. Increasing regulator pressure results in higher muzzle velocity and energy.
The externally controlled regulator allows pressure adjustment without depressurizing or disassembling the rifle.
The Allen screw located under the cylinder, along with the pressure gauge above it, is used to adjust the regulator pressure.
To increase regulator pressure, slowly turn the screw clockwise. The pressure will rise, and you may hear a slight hissing sound.
To decrease regulator pressure, turn the screw counterclockwise. Note that the pressure gauge will not update immediately. After reducing the pressure, fire several shots without pellets to allow the regulator and internal O-rings to stabilize. After a few shots, the pressure reading will decrease. If needed, repeat the process.
Always adjust pressure slowly and avoid aggressive turning of the screw.
Number of shots per fill:
- 7.62mm (.30) – approx. 45 shots
- 9mm (.35) – approx. 35 shots
Muzzle velocity adjustment
The Challenger Pro is equipped with a muzzle velocity adjustment wheel. The muzzle velocity adjustment wheel is located near the magazine , and you can easily replace it with another one with a larger or smaller transfer port diameter , or by turning the wheel , you can change the muzzle velocity parameters.
Adjusting the bead breaker spring
The Challenger Pro Generation 3 has been modified with the ability to externally adjust the tension of the striker spring , the adjustment is located in the stock base, which allows for easy access and adjustment using a screw, where the directions of increasing and decreasing the tension are marked with "Plus" and "Minus" . To further increase control over the adjustment, an external adjustment indicator has been milled on the receiver , which will allow us to easily control the spring tension without having to interfere with the inside of the rifle.
Barrel
Barrel length 29.5 inches (74.93cm) length and twist rate:
- 1:16 for 7.62mm caliber
It makes AEA rifles excellent for shooting slug-type bullets. The muzzle thread is M14x1, allowing for the attachment of an additional silencer, or you can attach an adapter from DONNY FL, allowing the use of 1/2 UNF silencers.
We recommend the Ronin Carabiner with the A100 Adapter for this purpose , which already has an M14x1 thread, thanks to which our carabiner is quiet and does not require additional adapters.
Magazine
The magazines are carefully crafted to avoid damaging the shot or slug during indexing. Magazine capacity varies depending on the caliber:
- 7.62mm - 9 slots
- 9mm - 8 slots
We also have Enlarged magazines from AE Sweda or our own 3D printed ones.
PCPHunters is the official dealer of the AEA brand in the Polish market , thanks to which we provide full service , spare parts and a two-year warranty , as well as post-warranty support for customers who purchased equipment from official AEA sellers.
