Falcon Optical System Endura S40i+ 4-40x58i ED FFP Riflescope

The Falcon Optical System Endura S40i+ 4-40x58i FFP ED is a new, improved version of the S40i . This scope from the English company , which comes with a lifetime warranty , has been equipped with a new magnification , a larger objective lens (from 56mm to 58mm), a reduced size , and new lower dispersion glass elements and new aluminum magnetic caps . Designed for long-range shooting ( PRS, LONG Range ), it uses the best HOYA FCD1A ED glass . An innovative turret system allows for faster corrections. It also features an illuminated reticle and a ZERO STOP mechanism.

Construction

The scopes are manufactured on precision CNC machines . The reinforced 34mm tube is made from a single piece, and the highest quality aircraft-grade aluminum material guarantees resistance to recoil , corrosion , mechanical damage , and  scratches .

The length of the scope is 357 mm and the weight is  1120 grams, which means that it does not significantly increase the weight of the PCP rifle or firearm on which it is mounted, so long walks and hunts will not be a burden.

The innovative open turrets used for adjustment operate smoothly. They have a metric accuracy of 0.1 MRAD per click of the barrel, and a full rotation of the turret from elevation provides 10 MRAD . This allows you to zero your scope without any problems, even in difficult conditions. Equipped with  durable internal components made of stainless steel , they allow for continuous adjustment, as they are frequently used in most shooting disciplines and in challenging weather conditions.

Turret adjustments offer up to  30 MRAD  (up, down) and 11.6  MRAD (left, right).

The turrets are manufactured to  tight tolerances , ensuring the system won't move at all and eliminating any so-called " setting" (deviation). Even when the knob (turret) appears to move slightly, there's no chance of the system over-reaching or shifting position; it's so precisely manufactured. 

The scope features a tool-free quick-zeroing system, using only a special screw-in locking ring that allows for a quick return to the initial settings. For shooters, this means they can make various  adjustments in all planes and easily return to  the zero point at any time.

Lenses

Falcon Optical System equips its scopes with exceptionally high-quality lenses. The

Endura  series features  Japanese multi-coated ED lenses,  meaning every lens element in the scope has  five anti-reflective coatings . The objective lens and eyepiece lens are anti-fouling coated, preventing dirt and oil from adhering , making cleaning easier and providing a brilliant image. 

The Falcon Endura S40i is constructed with  HOYA Japan FCD1A Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass , ensuring excellent clarity and minimal chromatic aberration. Its wide 8x zoom range , combined with a fully multi-coated lens system, ensures excellent image brightness and resolution at all magnification levels.

Precise  sealing and nitrogen filling of the optics completely eliminate the problem of internal lens  fogging , making the scope resistant to rain, snow, and immersion in water. 

Nets

The Endura features First Focus Plane (FFP)  reticles , which  enlarge  the reticle as  you zoom in, eliminating the need for  reticle calculations. The reticle is calibrated for all zoom levels.  With a magnification range of 4x to 40x , this scope has a wide range of uses, depending on the user's preferences. It provides detailed target acquisition from both close and long range . The field of view  at 100 meters ranges from 9.72 (4x) to 1 meter (40x) , providing shooters with a wide, clear perspective even at lower magnifications . With eye relief ranging from 102 mm to 85 mm, this scope provides comfortable, safe viewing, guaranteeing optimal performance during extended use.

This scope features  an illuminated reticle that is activated via a knob to further enhance usability , the S40i includes 6  lighting settings with intermediate  "off" positions between each step, providing tailored visibility in low light conditions.

Metricity in MRAD

The Endura 4-40X58i B9GDi MRAD  features metric adjustments expressed in MRAD units.  This system makes conversions and corrections much simpler and less complicated than MOA adjustments. A 0.1 MRAD click of the barrel  shifts the reticle  by 1 cm at 100 m.  Due to its ease of use,  the MRAD unit is preferred by most  long-shot shooters,  is the standard  in military optics , and is much more frequently used by Europeans .

Lateral parallax is adjustable up to 10 meters, offering incredible flexibility in a variety of shooting conditions. At the heart of the scope is the B9GDi reticle , installed in the front focal plane and featuring a  0.1 MRAD reticle with a floating illuminated dot for precision.
